On tärkeä ymmärtää, että nämä vaalit ovat nimenomaan koulutusvaalit ja meidän tulevien päättäjien täytyy varmistaa, että kasvatus- ja koulutusalan ammattilaisilla on tarpeeksi resursseja toteuttaa tehtäväänsä sillä laadulla, johon maailman parhaat asiantuntijat pystyvät. Entisenä varhaiskasvatuksen opettajana ja nykyisenä kuolutuspolitiikan väitöskirjatutkijana olen kuitenkin tuskallisen tietoinen kaikista kasvatus- ja koulutuskentän ongelmista.
Koulutusjärjestelmämme ei pysy laadukkaana, jos siitä jatkuvasti leikataan. Tämän päivän “säästetyt” eurot maksattavat itsensä korkojen kera takaisin pitkällä aikavälillä, ja siihen meillä ei ole yksinkertaisesti varat. Koulujen ja päiväkotien henkilökunta ovat joutuneet jatkuvasti paikkaamaan koulutusleikkausten pahimpia vaikutuksia venymällä työssään kohtuuttomasti. Ala ei kestä enää yhtään leikkausta resursseista – jo nyt ammattilaiset äänestävät jaloillaan.
Laitetaan kuntoon ainakin nämä:
💚Pidetään huolta, että ryhmäkoot pysyvät maltillisina ja jokainen lapsi saa ansaitsemansa kasvun ja oppimisen tuen.
💚Varmistetaan, että lapselle järjestyy päiväkoti kohtuullisen matkan päästä ja kouluikäiselle paikka lähikoulusta
💚Nostetaan Tampereen kaupungin profiilia työnantajana. Tampereen tulee olla vastuullinen työnantaja, jotta kasvatus- ja opetusalan ammattilaiset haluavat työskennellä juuri täällä.
💚Varmistetaan, että jokaisessa päiväkotiryhmässä ja koululuokassa työskentelee vähintään yksi pätevä opettaja
💚Huolehditaan, että varhaiskasvatuksessa ja kouluissa on riittävästi koulutettua henkilökuntaa, myös sairastapausten sattuessa.
💚Varmistetaan päiväkoti- ja koulurakennusten turvallisuus. Sisäilmaongelmiin on puututtava!
💚Varmistetaan, että saman perheen sisarukset saavat paikan samasta päiväkodista
💚Turvataan laadukas aamu- ja iltapäivätoiminta
Jos pääsen kunnanvaltuustoon lupaan pitää viimeiseen asti varhaiskasvatuksen ja koulutuksen puolesta. Lupaan aina puhua pienimpien kuntalaisten puolesta sekä puolustaa väsymättömästi lasten ja nuorten oikeuksia laadukkaaseen varhaiskasvatukseen ja koulutukseen.

It is important to understand that these elections are specifically about education, and our future decision-makers must be ready to roll up their sleeves and ensure that professionals in the field of education have enough resources to do their job with the quality that the world’s best experts are able to achieve. As a former early childhood education teacher and current doctoral researcher in education policy, I am painfully aware of all the problems in the education sector.
Our education system is world-class, and this fact is also recognized globally. However, our education system will not remain high-quality if there are continuous budget cuts. Cutting the education budget is as wise as sawing off the branch you are sitting on. The euros ”saved” today will cause loses with interest in the long run, and we simply cannot afford that. Teachers, daycare and school assistants, childcare workers, principals, and daycare directors have constantly had to patch up the worst effects of education cuts by stretching themselves unreasonably in their work. Even the most skilled staff will not be able to keep this boat afloat for long. The sector cannot withstand any more resource cuts – already professionals are voting with their feet.
Let’s fix at least:
💚Ensure that group sizes remain moderate and every child receives the growth and learning support they deserve.
💚Ensure that a child gets a place in early childhood education within a reasonable distance and a school-age child gets a place in a nearby school.
💚Raise the profile of the city of Tampere as an employer. Tampere must be a responsible employer so that professionals in the field of education want to work here. – Attractive salaries, working conditions, and opportunities for further training.
💚Ensure that there is at least one qualified teacher working in every daycare group and school class.
💚Ensure that there is enough trained staff in early childhood education and schools, even in case of illness.
💚Ensure the safety of daycare and school buildings. Indoor air problems must be addressed!
💚Ensure that siblings from the same family get a place in the same daycare.
💚Ensure high-quality morning and afternoon activities.
If I get into the municipal council, I promise to stand up for education. I am committed to improving the salaries and working conditions of professionals in the field. I promise to always speak on behalf of the smallest residents and tirelessly defend the rights of children and young people to high-quality education.
